Leo Weinek

Leo Weinek is a social innovator and local ecosystem developer. As a former mayor and a Validated EU-Smart City Expert, with some background also in PE/VC - M&A and mentoring startups, under the brand of FairCity Consulting, now coordinates a network of experienced public and private sector professionals, together seeking social impact across sectors. One of their initiatives is a local community platform that brings all local stakeholders together to solve those challenges they can, on their own. As part of this, they are working on a mutual funding scheme that can provide financial resources for these impactful developments and investments, possibly including even civic crowdfunding as well.

He is the author and co-author of some publications and op-eds, that are in relation with good governance and public management, alternative and progressive funding methods and good practices in public finance.
