Alina Georgescu is an economist with experience in Venture Capital. During the past 10 years at Catalyst Romania, Alina has supported the growth of early-stage technology start-ups across Central and Eastern Europe, being involved in the full investment cycle—from sourcing and analyzing companies to selecting investments and working closely with founders throughout the holding period. Alina has worked with over a dozen portfolio companies as a Board Member or Board Observer, offering strategic input, financial guidance, and access to Catalyst’s network to help drive growth and long-term value.

Her track record includes involvement in several successful exits, such as Green Horse Games (acquired by Tencent Miniclip), SmartBill (acquired by Visma), and 123FormBuilder (acquired by Kiteworks). In addition to her VC experience, she has an entrepreneurial background, having managed small businesses and co-founded an e-commerce —giving her valuable hands-on insight into operational and go-to-market challenges.
